CORE initiative for coaches’ rights now has a dedicated page on the ICCE website

CORE (Coaches Organizing for Rights and Excellence) now has a dedicated section on the website of the International Council for Coaching Excellence (ICCE). Coaches and their associations can learn about the initiative and contact its team directly.

CORE brings coaches from different sports together through national representative bodies. Its work focuses on four priorities:

• Working conditions: clear contracts, fair pay and insurance coverage.
• Legal protection: safeguards against unfair dismissal and abusive contract terms.
• Representation: a voice for coaches in the bodies that make decisions about sport.
• Professional development: access to continuing education and international certification.

POPA’s role

Athanasios D. Villiotis, President of POPA and Head of the ICCE Working Group for Coaches Associations, leads the CORE initiative. CORE is already active in Greece, Cyprus, Malta and Romania.
